The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in strength within the city.

Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of the new season follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to undertake their own adventure, distinct from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

With a large ensemble, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might appear out of place, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

First, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose death started the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each member has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, wants revenge.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a nasty place.
  • The warrior and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the group enter areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a life debt to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the clan.

This means them little choice but to head to the remote area in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the warrior group will be absent next week, leaving the other eight players to assemble the Seekers and Planners groups.

Audiences can expect discovering which characters will be assigned to which table in the season’s last Overture episode, released on October 24.
